Named after a type of fern, the idea for this piece came about on a walk in the woods, where I became absorbed in the beauty of the somewhat dying ferns surrounding me. Some were very healthy and green, while others were starting to wilt and wither. No matter the stage in life, they were all gorgeous in their own unique way with so many different colors, curls, and contours coming out.
