The idea for this piece came to me on a walk in the woods, where I became absorbed in the beauty of the somewhat dying ferns surrounding me. Some were very healthy and green, while others were starting to wilt and wither. No matter the stage in life, they were all gorgeous in their own unique way with so many different colors, curls, and contours coming out. This is just the beginning of this beautiful collection, it is definitely a personal favorite!
Playful, fun, and oh-so-sweet, this print will have you going Cuckoo Fur Cats if you aren't already! Growing up, I wasn't a fan of cats, largely because I was allergic, but also I didn't understand them. Since meeting my partner who LOVES cats, he helped me see how wonderful they are by introducing me to his two sweet boys - Pete & Repete. I fell in love hard, not only with him, but with his cats too, and now I can't get enough. This print is an ode to all cats and their many easy-to-love poses - Cleaning, Sitting, Playing, Hunting, Loafing, Stretching, Flirting, Sleeping. Can you identify each pose within the print??
The same playful, sweet, and oh-so-fun cats you will find in my original Cuckoo Fur Cats watercolor, but this is the solid black and white version without the watercolor look. The two prints pair really nicely together on a wall or desk, for those of you REALLY Cuckoo Fur Cats, like myself! :)
It started as a floral design, and by the end I couldn’t decide if it looked more like flowers or ocean waves. Either way, I feel calm and at peace when I look at it. I hope it provides the same feelings in you.
This piece blossomed from my Peekablooms pottery collection! Each pottery piece includes a single flower head-on; bold, bright, and beautiful. I thought wall art that had a similar theme, but more subtle, would pair nicely with the Peekablooms pottery, having the blooms just peeking out of the sides of the page to say hello. Simple and elegant, my favorite pairing, and this is just the beginning for this beautiful collection. Much more to come!
