Flora
Flora came to mind while painting flowers. I had just learned the sgraffito technique in pottery class and thought it would be the perfect way to bring a flower to life on a pottery piece. The flower has a natural, textured feel that isn't covered by the glossy glaze surrounding it, so you can feel every detail of the carvings. Hand-feel is SO important in pottery, and my goal with this piece was to provide an experience where you feel every detail and all the love poured into it. Simple, sweet, and elegant, this is just the beginning for this beautiful collection, which also includes watercolor art (linked below).
